CA8335 Qualistar+ Power and Energy Quality Analyser

The Qualistar+ Power Quality analyser combines the functionality of a powerful troubleshooting test meter with true power quality meter features, which include an oscilloscope and data logger in a single hand held instrument. The unit is menu driven and takes seconds to set up and use. The Qualistar+ is a single instrument which offers the total package of measurements needed on any power systems. This rugged handheld unit gives the user a clear visual display of all voltage and current waveforms which include a vector diagram of imbalance on each of the phase voltages. This large COLOUR display makes fast identification of power quality problems, including harmonics, flicker, interruptions - with adjustable thresholds, dips and frequency quick and easy.

The SD memory card allows for a massive data storage capability, unfound in any instrument at this price, allowing the assessment of voltage quality parameters according to EN50160 and the recording of voltage and current, power and flicker to identify intermittent problems chart and multi parameters display. 300 transients can be captured, each at the sampling rate 12.8 Khz with storage of 4 periods of time wave form are displayed. The Alarm Mode provides a trigger on different thresholds for any chosen parameter. Having collected the data the Qualistar+ provides analyse of the stored data directly within the meter without the need to transfer the memory to a PC. Data and any captured “screen shots” or transients can be down loaded via the built in USB to the windows software provided.

The Qualistar+ can be supplied with different types of current sensors to suit any application. The Ampflex clamps reading from 30 to 6500AAC, C193 clamps reading from 3 to 1200AAC, PAC93 10 to 1000AAC/10 to 1400ADC, MN93 clamps reading from 2 to 240AAC and the MN93A clamps reading from 0.005 to 5AAC/0.1to 120AAC. Although three current sensors are needed for 3 phase measurements on single phase a single sensor may be used. Selectable scaling for other AC current transformer inputs is also possible. The Qualistar+ is supplied with a large NiMH rechargeable battery which will provide well over 10 hours of use or may be mains powered for continuous use.
